A team for runners of every level
To train and motivate novice and veteran runners of all ages and ability levels to achieve their personal health, fitness, and athletic performance goals.
We are a grassroots registered USA Track & Field running club. Our membership spans a broad range of abilities from recreational runners to veteran runners. The majority of the membership are recreational runners who participate in road races, marathons, trail runs, and/or multi-sport events throughout the year.
Membership in the 5Rivers Running Team is open to any level or ability of runner over the age of 18 years. The 5Rivers Running Team is a non-profit running club.
The 5Rivers training is based on the interval training developed by Bob Schul. Bob Schul won the 5000-meter run in the 1964 Tokyo Olympics. When Schul began coaching he refined what he had learned from his coach the Hungarian Mihaly Igloi and used those methods to coach the Bob Schul Racing Team.
Group runs are on Wednesday evenings and Saturday and Sunday mornings. Distance and location depends on the time of the year and the weather conditions.

Beginning November 6 we will move to the Oakwood High School Track. Training will be at that location during the winter months as weather permits.
