Christoph Cikraji age 11 and a member of 5Rivers Running Club visited Kukino Elementary School in Kagoshima Japan during the holiday season 2010. Chris had the opportunity to run their annual 2k race with the ten students enrolled in the school who appear in the photo. The child immediately to the right of Christoph is the school champion Yuri. Yuri is an outstanding distance runner and soccer player.
As to running with these students Christoph said, “the overall atmosphere was wonderful, especially the scenery and the winter flowers”, “I especially liked the people cheering us on, it was a great experience!”
